Artist's Description
I have a thing about infinity. About vanishing points. Early in my photography career, I found myself taking pictures of dramatic hallways that stretched their views beyond perception. For me, these became pockets of never-ending existence, stretching backwards and forwards through physical space and time. Were I to set my mind to it, I could walk down these hallways forever, stepping out to experience the future, or walking back to see the beginnings of time.
I only ever see views like these in an instant as I’m walking by, passing through the perfect perspective for a fraction of a second, and then losing it again. It’s akin to focusing a telescope, trying to bring a far off planet into view. Existence is blurry, then it is startlingly clear for a moment, and then fades back to a blurry confusion. A moment of clarity in an otherwise hazy world.
